Scranton Today's New Year's Weekend Schedule

Check out Scranton Today's new broadcast schedule, running throughout the weekend of New Year's, and until Tuesday, January 3rd!

On Channel 61, see this week's Scranton Sewer Authority meeting, new episodes of Talk of the Town and Stories, Wisdom, & Recipes, Graffiti, and encore presentations of this year's Interdependence Day events and featuring lectures with author Ira Rifkin and Dr. Craig Eisendrath, and part one of the Political Institute, sponsored by the Lackawanna County Federation of Democratic Women, and featuring guest speakers State Representatives Phyllis Mundy and Kathy Manderino!

On Channel 62, see additional airings of these programs, plus encore presentations of The Myth of Hitler's Pope, with Rabbi David Dalin, and The DaVinci Code: Fact or Fiction?, with Dr. Eric Plumer of the University of Scranton!

Scranton City Council Meeting Schedule

Scranton City Council will be holding their Sine Die meeting on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 10:00 AM, followed immediately by their reorganization meeting at 11:00 AM.

Both meetings will be held in City Council Chambers, and will be broadcast live on Channel 61.

On Channel 61, see this week's Scranton City Council and Scranton-Lackawanna Taxpayers Association meetings, From the Mayor's Office, new episodes of Talk of the Town and Straight Talk, this year's County Christmas Tree Lighting, and an encore presentation of African Women as Creators: The Potter's Art, a lecture with Dr. Christa Clarke of the Newark Museum!

On Channel 62, see encore presentations of State of Pennsylvania, courtesy of WVIA, and Reflections of a Jewish Filmmaker, a lecture with Mark Jonathan Harris, as well as additional replays of Straight Talk and African Women as Creators!

Scranton City Council

Please note that Scranton City Council has moved their meeting from Thursday evening, to tonight, Monday, December 12th.

A public hearing will be held at 6:45 PM, followed by the regular meeting at 7:00 PM.

Scranton Today will broadcast the meeting live tonight, and replay the meeting on Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM and on Wednesday and Thursday at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM.
